Spring Fever Express!
   The perfect way to cure your Spring Fever this season! Climb aboard Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and see the beauty of spring unfolding in Cuyahoga Valley National Park from our (warm) vintage train windows!

Choose your trip: Stay on board for a three-hour round trip. While on board, immerse yourself in the sounds and stories of the Voices of the Valley audio tour
OR
Hop off in the Village of Peninsula and see all that this canal-era town has to offer. Specialty shops, art galleries, antique store, furniture store, Park Place in Peninsula (operated by Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association) and more!

Tickets for either of these trips are just $10 per person

Rockside Station in Independence at 10 am and 1:30 p.m.
Akron Northside Station at 11:35 am

Tickets can be purchased on line by visiting the event calendar, selecting the date you want to ride, the station you wish to depart and purchasing tickets! OR, you can buy them the day of your trip ON the train prior to departure.

Canned Food Drive Aboard Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad!

Climb aboard CVSR this weekend and for only $5 and a non-perishable food item, take a ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Thank you to all who participated! We were able to donate almost 2,000 lbs of food to the Akron-Canton and Cleveland Regional Foodbanks!

Maple Sugar Festival Express

Travel by train to Hale Farm & Village to take part in their Maple Sugar Festival. Ticket price includes train ride, admission to museum and a pancake breakfast sponsored by Bob Evans Restaurants.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children (3 - 12)

Departures:

Rockside Station: 10 am (you will be dropped off Northbound after Akron and return to Rockside by 4:30 p.m.)

Akron Northside Station: 11:35 a.m. (you will return to Akron by 2:50 p.m.)

Sunday Matinee: Train Wrecks, Shipwrecks and Spooky Tales

Lying at the bottom of the Great Lakes are countless shipwrecks, trains throughout the nation have met awful fates, and Ohio's ghost stories are abundant. Climb aboard as we share eerie stories sure to send a tingle up your spine.

This is a 3 hour round trip, the program is delivered one way.

Tickets are just $10 per person

Akron Northside Staation: 11:35 a.m.

Easter Bunny Express

You will never believe what the Easter Groundhog has been up to in the past few months and there is only one way to find out. Join CVSR and CVNP for our annual Easter Egg Extravaganza. Enjoy a puppet show, crafts and an Easter Egg hunt. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for children (3 - 12)

Departures:

Rockside Station: 10 a.m. (You will return to Peninsula by12 p.m. to be back at Rockside Station by 1 p.m. OR you can stay in Peninsula and return to Rockside by 4:30 p.m.)

Akron Northside Station: 11:35 a.m. (You will return to Peninsula by 1:55 p.m. to be back in Akron by 2:50 pm)

2010 Grape Escape Wine-Tasting Excursions

Enjoy one of CVSR's relaxing wine-tasting excursions. These two hour round trips travel through Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
While on board, you will learn of each wine you are tasting's characteristics such as the body, bouquet, flavor and finish.
Each wine is paired with an hors de oeuvres designed to complement each wine.

"The Wonder of Wine" A Course Introducing Wine Appreciation
Want to learn how to taste wine as the experts do? Eyeballing wine, swirling and sniffing and swishing...it may look complicated or even snobbish, but the traditional wine tasting technique is actually based on common sense. You will sample 5 classic wine varieties and learn of their characteristics, such as body, flavor, bouquet and finish. Each wine will be served with an appetizer designed to complement each wine.

Wine Tasting Excursions Ticket Pricing:

Coach Seats: $55 per person

First Class Seats: $75 per person

This car is the Cuyahoga Inn and offers booths or tables and chairs

Executive Class Seats: $90 per person

This is CVSR's top-of-the-line luxury car, the St. Lucie. All seats are comfortable arm chairs and couches.

Emerson Car: $55 to $90 per person

   CVSR's luxury observatin car with three different levels, club seating, First Class seating and Dome seats. This car is only available May through November.

2010 "Ales on Rails", Beer Tasting Excursions

Climb aboard for a fun way to learn and sample intersting and unique beers from around the world.

You will sample 5 different brews each trip and will learn of each beer's characteristics such as appearance, bouquet, body, flavors and finish. Each beer is served with an appetizer designed by Chef Marc to complement each one.

All trips travel through Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

The Rogue Train - A Sampling of Rogue Brews

Rouge Ales are made with the finest hops and barley malt, free range coastal water and Pacman top fermented proprietary yeast. Preservatives, additives, chemicals: Never! Rogue does not pasteurize its products. Rogue ales are bottled using an oxygen absorbing cap, brown glass or a better shelf life, and plenty of malted barley and hops to provide stability.
